Clean the skin around your stoma with water and a soft cloth.
Pat the area dry. Do not use oil-based products as they may interfere with the adhesion of the skin barrier.
Please make sure you know the diameter of your stoma. Choose a STOMOCUR pouch that is the same diameter as your stoma.
If you need to cut the wafer of your pouch to fit your stoma use a good sharp pair of scissors.

| Be very careful not to increase the opening size past the outer ring marked on the wafer.

Make sure the opening you cut is not too large. An ill-fitting pouch can cause skin irritations and inflammation.
In order to compensate for any unevenness of the skin, you may use STOMOCUR skin barrier paste.
Apply this around the pouch opening or directly around the stoma.
